CALSTART Technical Advisory Committee
CALSTART’s Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) has been one of the mainstays of our organization for over 15 years. The committee has reviewed nearly 300 technologies from companies working in the clean transportation industry. The committee, comprised of experts from the advanced transportation industry, academia, and public agencies, provides expert analysis and feedback to companies.
The TAC typically meets quarterly with four-to-five companies presenting their technologies at each meeting. Companies interested in presenting to the TAC are encouraged to submit a white paper overview of their technology for review.
At the meeting, each company is allotted approximately 1 hour for the presentation and Q&A session with TAC committee members. Following each presenter, TAC members complete an evaluation of the presentation. The evaluations and recommendations are then forwarded to each presenter for review. The evaluation, as well as all materials and discussions at the TAC, are considered confidential unless otherwise specified by a presenter.
TAC presentations are not limited to current CALSTART members. All companies in the clean transportation industry are welcome participate in the evaluation program, from small companies developing emerging technologies and projects, to established companies looking for partnership opportunities.
This is just a sample of one of the many services CALSTART provides to companies in the industry. If your company is interested in making a TAC presentation, please contact Patrick Chen, project manager at

Note: if a presenting company is not a member of CALSTART, no further support beyond providing the presenting company with feedback can be provided. Please visit CALSTART’s
