Alycia Gilde is the Northeast Regional Director at CALSTART and is responsible for managing the organization’s role on the development and expansion of clean transportation programs and policies in the northeast. Ms. Gilde currently oversees the New York Truck – Voucher Incentive Program (NYT-VIP), a $19 million incentive program to accelerate the adoption of alternative fuel vehicles and emission control technologies in the state of New York. Ms. Gilde is also the Chair of the Northeast Diesel Collaborative Strategic Planning Committee, a program led by U.S. EPA Regions 1 and 2 and the Northeast States for Coordinated Air Use Management (NESCAUM). In this capacity, Ms. Gilde is responsible for identifying critical regional air quality and transportation priorities, engaging multi-sector stakeholders, and promoting program opportunities to improve regional air quality in collaboration with the maritime, rail, construction and trucking industries.
Prior to CALSTART, Alycia led some of the nation’s largest transportation emission reduction programs including; the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach Clean Trucks Programs and Clean Air Action Plan, The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey Regional Truck Replacement Program, the Hunts Point Clean Trucks Program and a number of clean air community programs in NYC and Boston. Alycia graduated from the University of Connecticut with a B.A. in Global Environmental Mass Media and served in the Peace Corps for two years in Ghana, West Africa as an Environment Volunteer and as the National Gender and Youth Development Coordinator.
