Alycia Gilde oversees CALSTART’s Fuels and Infrastructure Initiative and is currently advancing the nation’s largest programs to develop and implement alternative fuel corridors for light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles. Working in partnership with the Federal Highway Administration, Ms. Gilde is building regional multi-state partnerships throughout the U.S. to expand federal designation of corridors for electric, natural gas, propane and hydrogen. Ms. Gilde is also co-leading U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s West Coast Collaborative Alternative Fuel Infrastructure Corridor Coalition to evaluate infrastructure gaps and implement alternative fuel projects along transportation corridors in California, Oregon and Washington. In the last five years at CALSTART, Ms. Gilde has played a key leadership role with the organization’s Market Acceleration Program including strategic development, problem solving and industry engagement to advance commercialization of clean vehicle technologies. Initiatives include California’s Hybrid and Zero-Emission Truck and Bus Voucher Incentive Program, New York’s Truck Voucher Incentive Program and Illinois’s Drive Clean Chicago. Ms. Gilde also lead CALSTART’s efforts to administer the California Air Resources Board’s Clean Off-Road Equipment Voucher Incentive Project.
Prior to CALSTART, Ms. Gilde managed some of the nation’s largest vehicle and freight emission reduction programs including; The Port Authority of NY and NJ Regional Truck Replacement Program, the South Bronx Hunts Point Clean Trucks Program, and San Pedro Bay Ports Clean Air Action Plan and Clean Truck Programs. Ms. Gilde graduated from the University of Connecticut with a B.A. in Global Environmental Mass Media and served in the Peace Corps as an Environment Volunteer in Ghana, West Africa. In 2017, Ms. Gilde received an Environmental Champion Award from the U.S. EPA and The Responsible 100 CSR Award for Sustainability from City and State NY.
