Associate Project Manager
Erin Shew is an Associate Project Manager with CALSTART where she works primarily with transit agencies to deploy zero-emission and near-zero emission buses in the Midwest. Prior to CALSTART, she worked as a contractor for the State of Louisiana developing climate resilience recommendations for the Louisiana Strategic Adaptations for Future Environments (LA SAFE) project. She also served under President Obama as Deputy Director for Climate Equity at the White House Council on Environmental Quality, where her work focused on developing policy to promote resilience and equitable adaptation to the impacts of climate change in underserved and minority communities. She is originally from Alaska, where she worked as an anthropologist for the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, studying the effects of development and climate change on food security in rural communities. Erin holds a BA in East Asian Studies from Lewis and Clark College.
