Jessie Lund joined CALSTART in 2022 as a Lead Project Manager. She works on the Trucking and Off-road initiative, focusing on advancing commercial vehicle efficiency and electrification. Jessie partners with industry and public agencies to help ensure that clean vehicles and infrastructure are available, affordable, and dependable. She is driven by a passion to protect air quality and public health, fight the climate crisis, and protect the most vulnerable in our communities.
Prior to joining CALSTART, Jessie worked for RMI’s Carbon-Free Mobility program, where she partnered closely with the North American Council for Freight Efficiency (NACFE). In this position, she authored numerous electric truck guidance reports, helped organize the first three Run on Less demonstration events, including Run on Less – Electric, and hosted the Electric Truck Bootcamp educational series. One major achievement from her time with RMI and NACFE was receiving the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) Environmental Excellence in Transportation Award. Jessie’s career spans heavy-duty transportation, climate policy, urban sustainability, event design and facilitation, climate science, and sustainable aviation and mining. She holds an M.Sc in Human Dimensions of Natural Resources and Conservation Leadership.
