Work History

Ruth started her career at NJ TRANSIT, where she worked to shape and implement the capital program as part of their capital planning team, including securing nearly $150 million in IIJA grant funding. From NJ TRANSIT, Ruth went on to Shell, where she secured state and local incentives to expand their electric vehicle charging network. Ruth joined CALSTART in 2024 as a Project Manager in the Northeast Region. She works on medium- and heavy-duty initiatives guiding fleets on electrification, including the New York Truck Voucher Incentive Program (NYTVIP), Massachusetts CEC Vehicle Electrification Advisory Services, New Jersey Fleet Advisor, and Freight Electrification-as-a-Service for Transformation (FEaST). Ruth’s professional interests include GIS, sustainable transportation, and translating technical information for a non-technical audience.
