PASADENA, CA — Catalyst Mobility™ (formerly CALSTART), a leading clean transportation nonprofit, is pleased to announce the appointment of four new members to its Board of Directors, incoming from Forth as part of the organizations’ recent combination. The new directors — Nadia El Mallakh, CGC’s Senior Vice President of Strategy and Partnerships; Pamela Fann, Integrated Solutions’ founder and CEO; Michael Maten, General Motors’ Director of Electric Vehicle (EV) Policy and Regulatory Affairs; and Kristin White, Google’s Transportation Industry Executive — began their terms on October 1.

The appointments follow Catalyst Mobility’s September 14 announcement that CALSTART had rebranded as Catalyst Mobility and that Forth, the national nonprofit advancing transportation electrification, will combine with Catalyst Mobility at the start of 2027. Together, the organizations are building one of the world’s largest and most impactful clean transportation nonprofits and advancing clean, equitable, and affordable solutions that move all people and goods.

The incoming directors deepen the board’s connection to Forth’s programs, partners, and Pacific Northwest roots, including Catalyst Mobility’s planned regional office in Portland, Oregon, home of Forth’s headquarters. Their appointment is designed to carry Forth’s work on equitable access, charging infrastructure, emerging modes, and multi-sector membership into the combined organization’s governance.

“These four leaders helped Forth become a national force for transportation electrification,” said Michael Berube, President and CEO of Catalyst Mobility. “Their experience, from the board room to the front line of working with communities to increase access, will make Catalyst Mobility stronger from day one.”

“A combination of this scale only works if governance reflects both organizations,” said Henrik Holland, Board Chair of Catalyst Mobility. “These directors bring diverse perspectives that will be invaluable as we continue to strengthen our commitment to ensuring affordable transportation is within reach. This is essential as we close gaps operators feel every day, including standards, infrastructure, financing, and the grid.”

“Everyone deserves access to clean, affordable transportation,” said Jeff Allen, Executive Director of Forth. “Having our former leaders on the Catalyst Mobility Board is how we keep that promise at the center of the combined organization.”

The four incoming board members are:

NADIA EL MALLAKH, CGC
