CALSTART Partners With World EV Day Campaign

2025 marks the sixth anniversary of World EV Day™, the biggest global e-mobility campaign of the year that internationally promotes the benefits of making the switch to electrification, and how EVs are better in multiple aspects: Better for the environment, better for total costs of ownership, better to drive, and more.

CALSTART is delighted to be an official partner for World EV Day™, and with its wide scope across both the passenger and commercial EV sector, it fits as part of our ongoing goal to further the advancement of the clean transportation industry across both light and heavy-duty vehicles.

Official partner for World EV Day™

Taking place on the 9th of September, the day will bring together companies, individuals, policy makers and thought leaders, for a day of marketing activations and announcements that will help highlight the great work that is taking place right across the e-mobility industry.

World EV Day™ isn’t just a celebration of all things great in the EV world, but also a call to action on the crucial work that still needs to be done to help maintain a widespread shift to zero-emission transportation across the globe, helping to protect the environment. It remains a fact that globally, transportation accounts for around one third of the greenhouse gas emissions that cause climate change. These related emissions must be reduced in the next decade to avoid the worst climate change effects. This year’s World EV Day™ also comes as many countries get closer to various mandates surrounding electric vehicle adoption.

At CALSTART, our Drive to Zero™ program looks to address this issue on the commercial vehicle side. Nearly 40 countries across the globe have signed our Memorandum of Understanding on zero-emission medium and heavy-duty vehicles, working towards a goal of 100% zero-emission new truck and bus sales by 2040. Outside of the Drive to Zero™ program, we continue to work with our members to support the switch to zero-emission and innovative forms of transport.
