CALSTART Welcomes Banking Executive to its Board of Directors

PASADENA, Calif. – CALSTART is pleased to announce the election of a financial services expert to its Board of Directors: Julia Grinshpun of JP Morgan Chase. The largest bank in the United States, JP Morgan Chase is also the fifth-largest banking institution by assets in the world, and operates the largest investment bank in the world by revenue.

Julia Grinshpun is the Executive Director of JP Morgan Chase’s Green Economy Commercial Banking Team, where she oversees the Clean Mobility industry vertical, and is charged with Clean Mobility industry coverage efforts. In this role, she delivers capital solutions and expertise to clients who are advancing decarbonization through innovative technologies, leveraging the strength and breadth of JP Morgan’s banking platform.

Prior to joining JP Morgan Chase, Grinshpun served as a Director on Wells Fargo’s Renewable Energy and Environmental Finance team, overseeing counterparty risk underwriting for a portfolio of more than $10B for solar, wind, fuel cell and storage tax equity investments. In this role, she also worked with senior commercial banking leaders on capital deployment strategy to advance corporate sustainability goals.

Grinshpun holds a Bachelor of Arts in business/economics and a minor in Spanish from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She is currently pursuing a graduate Sustainability Certificate from the Harvard Extension School.
