Additional Information:
The Commercial Clean Vehicle Tax Credit (IRC 45W) is set to expire on September 30, 2025, as part of the current administration’s One Big Beautiful Bill Act. These tax credits have been a major driving force for the growth of the commercial electric vehicle market across the country, with which eligible entities can receive up to $40,000 for vehicles over 14,000 pounds or calculated based on the incremental cost for the purchase of zero-emission medium- and heavy-duty vehicles. The elimination of these credits will make vehicles more expensive for businesses to afford. Fleet owners interested in buying electric trucks are encouraged to use the tax credits before the expiration date.
