Work History

Jasna Tomić, Ph.D. is a seasoned expert in clean energy and transportation, with over two and half decades of experience driving innovation in clean vehicle technologies and innovative energy solutions. Currently serving as the Vice President of Strategic Programs and Innovation, Jasna serves as an enterprise leader responsible for identifying, incubating strategic projects that advance the organization’s mission and expand its impact across markets and geographies. She is ensuring that cross‑cutting initiatives are effectively integrated, and scaled, strengthening execution and impact across the full program portfolio. She provides direct leadership and oversight Data Insights & Analytics (DnA), Technology Demonstration, and enterprise partnerships that accelerate clean technology adoption and funding growth. Prior to CALSTART, Jasna made contributions to the field of clean transportation as a Researcher at the University of Delaware and Princeton University. There, she conducted pioneering research on Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) power, laying the groundwork for future innovations in the use of electric-drive vehicles for both transportation and clean energy generation.
