Work History
Wendy Wilson is the Chief Marketing Officer at CALSTART, a nonprofit organization dedicated to developing clean, efficient solutions within the transportation sector, with the goal of significantly reducing air pollution, improving public health, and helping to mitigate the effects of global climate change.
A seasoned marketing executive with more than 25 years of experience across all marketing functions, Wendy brings strengths in product marketing, digital content, messaging, integrated and revenue marketing. She has a proven track record of driving revenue while optimizing customer experience, with expertise in audience segmentation, messaging, and delivering on key corporate goals in rapidly growing companies.
Prior to joining CALSTART, Wendy served as Vice President of Marketing and Residential Solutions at ChargePoint Networks, where she also acted as Interim CMO. Under her leadership, the team built significant B2B2C channels, established crisis communication platforms, maintained high customer satisfaction metrics, and played a vital role in the company’s public exit via SPAC on the NYSE.
Before ChargePoint, Wendy worked at major organizations like Jive Software and Yahoo, where she has successfully driven integrated marketing strategies that enhanced brand visibility and customer engagement. As the Senior Director of Global Marketing at Yahoo, she oversaw marketing budgets exceeding $20M and led teams that generated significant revenue growth, illustrating her ability to adapt and innovate in competitive environments.
In addition to her corporate roles, Wendy serves on the board of Datavault AI Inc., where she contributes to the oversight of strategic initiatives at the forefront of Web 3.0 technology. Her insights into digital marketing, audience segmentation, and product promotion make her a respected authority in the field.
In her role at CALSTART, she is responsible for Marketing, Communications, and Member Services teams, focused on connecting companies and government agencies to accelerate the build-out of the clean transportation industry.
