Volkswagen Trucks and Buses makes
inaugural trip in the e-Dutra green corridor

Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus joins the federal government, the TRATON GROUP and fifteen other institutions to launch e-Dutra, the country’s first green road corridor, connecting the cities of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, with the aim of developing the necessary infrastructure to run the route with electric trucks. This coalition is already delivering results. VWCO, in collaboration with LOTS Group, was a pioneer in realizing the first electric trip on this highway under the umbrella of this alliance.

Volkswagen Trucks and Buses and the TRATON GROUP are joined by the efforts of institutions such as Smart Freight Centre, CALSTART, The Climate Pledge, C40 Cities the World Business Council for Sustainable Development, International Council for Clean Transportation and WRI Brasil, as well as several companies.
