Electric Truck Media Specialist
Kelci Arellano joined CALSTART in 2023 as an Electric Truck Media Specialist. In her role, she works on strategizing and planning marketing and communications outreach efforts to educate fleet owners and independent owner-operators across California in their navigation towards zero-emission class 2b-class 8 vehicles. She is responsible for leading strategy and planning around marketing and communication campaigns using various channels, overseeing the projects of consultants on the team, managing all campaign elements from ideation to execution, and reporting campaign results to peers and industry stakeholders. She is dedicated to increasing CALSTART’s engagement with smaller fleets, community-based organizations and disadvantaged communities through CALSTART’s Cal Fleet Advisor initiative.
She holds a B.A. from the California State University of Long Beach where she majored in Studio Arts. Prior to joining CALSTART, Kelci worked for Xos Trucks, a battery-electric class 6-8 truck manufacturer, as the lead Graphic Designer. In this position, she focused on leading design and marketing elements for events and tradeshows, all marketing materials, and digital campaigns.
With her background in the zero-emission truck industry, and she comes to CALSTART with experience in creating and implementing campaigns, progressive organizing, communications, and marketing.
