Pennsylvania Small Towns Set To Get Latest Wave of Federal Funding for EV Chargers

Thanks to federal funding given to the state of Pennsylvania, several small towns in the state will host electric vehicle (EV) chargers. Local business owners hope that this will drum up economic activity as drivers explore restaurants and shops while letting their vehicles charge.

CALSTART’s Regional Policy Director Alissa Burger spoke to Spotlight PA, saying that the federal funds are “creating a foundation” for states to have basic EV charging technology that will “encourage their citizens to consider switching over to a zero-emission vehicle.” “You’re not gonna get an EV if you feel nervous about where you’re going to charge,” she added.
