States Pave the Way for ZET Adoption:
Assessing the Impact of ACT and ACF Through 2030
State-level regulations are one of the main drivers for zero-emission truck (ZET) adoption across the United States. The Advanced Clean Trucks (ACT) rule, which requires manufacturers to increase the amount of ZETs they produce, has been passed by 11 states. California has also adopted the demand-side Advanced Clean Fleets (ACF) rule to push fleets to deploy ZETs. This assessment projects the impact that ACT and ACF will have on ZET deployments in states that have adopted these regulations to date through 2030 and includes state-level and vehicle-type specific projections. These projections will help stakeholders understand the ZET market through the end of the decade and prepare for market needs by designing new products and services and strategically scaling infrastructure buildout.
