DRIVING AMERICAN JOBS: Zero-Emission Vehicles at Work

Experience a range of electric vehicles on Capitol Hill, including an ice cream truck and Class 6 truck!

On Wednesday, September 18, CALSTART will present its second annual zero-emission medium- and heavy-duty vehicle (ZE-MHDV) display in Washington, D.C., to showcase the diverse and market-ready technologies helping to accelerate the transition to cleaner transportation, and to highlight the historic progress in bringing clean energy manufacturing investments and jobs back to the United States. They will be joined by the House Sustainable Energy and Environment Coalition and the bicameral Electrification Caucus.

Interested attendees and members of Congress will be able to visit, tour, and experience select vehicles and discuss their use and adoption with representatives from CALSTART, featured vehicle manufacturers, and partners. Workers who are driving and using these vehicles daily will also discuss their personal experiences, with a focus on improved health and occupational safety.

At 3 p.m., the speaking portion of the event will begin, featuring CALSTART leadership, federal officials, and members of the House Sustainable Energy and Environment Coalition and the bicameral Electrification Caucus. This part of the program will be livestreamed through this link.
