Lead the Charge to Unveil 2025 Automaker Sustainability Scoreboard

New ranking will highlight progress and critical gaps in environmental and human rights practices

SACRAMENTO, CA —A coalition of environmental, human rights, and labor organizations from Lead the Charge will hold a press conference outside the California State Capitol to unveil the 2025 Leaderboard—a ranking of the world’s largest automakers based on their efforts to improve supply chain sustainability as the industry transitions to electric vehicles (EVs). The announcement will highlight key findings from the third annual analysis, underscoring both progress and the work remaining to hold automakers accountable for environmental sustainability and social responsibility. Advocates will also urge California lawmakers to step up action to accelerate the transition to EVs as the federal government retreats from its commitments.
