Biofuels for Transportation

In this paper we provide a review of the status of biofuels and assess the opportunities for biofuels as alternative transportation fuels. The paper reviews the biofuels currently available and evaluates the development and future potential of the next generation biofuels. We categorize biofuels into three groups based on the feedstock and/or process involved, and the place on the development and commercialization timeline.
