Work History
The skills developed while managing applications and analyzing rankings at UCLA Anderson’s School of Business, organizing artists and community members in Leimert Park, and co-creating online engagement content for the Birthworkers of Color Collective, help inform Erin’s current community engagement work for CALSTART projects.
While at CALSTART, Erin conducted a 24-month study of CALSTART’s Clean Fuels and Infrastructure Initiative’s internal capacity to meaningfully engage with communities. She also has supported six different projects spanning incentives, research, and design. Additionally, she co-led two internal groups — BJEDI and CALSTART’s Community Engagement Group — to enhance cultural competence and share strategies for effective community engagement.
Erin was also tapped for opportunities to act as the Community Engagement SME for several different business opportunities after oversubscription of EnergIIZE’s most equitable funding lane, the 2024 EV Jump Start. Her speaking engagements include the USGBC’s Women + in Green Breakfast, Los Angeles’ Infraday, and the San Gabriel Valley Economic Partnership’s Legislative Action Committee.
