Geoffrey Cook
Deputy Director of Light Duty EV
With more than 8 years in client-facing project experience and graduate level training in a variety of environmental skillsets, Geoffrey Cook brings a great deal of passion to the Alternative Fuels and Infrastructure team. Geoff recently received his Master’s degree from the Bren School of Environmental Science & Management at UC Santa Barbara where he specialized in Corporate Environmental Management. Geoff has managed complex impact assessments for a small bio-tech company and advanced Community Outreach strategies for the City of Santa Barbara’s Climate Action Plan. Most recently, Geoff interned at the Center for Sustainable Energy (CSE) in San Diego, CA where he managed the development of technical reports for the EV Infrastructure Team including alternative fuel corridor analysis.
Geoff grew up hiking in the Adirondack State Park of New York, fly-fishing in the Catskill Mountains, and sought to motivate others towards greater stewardship of natural resources through the persuasive power of film. In his early career, he had the opportunity do everything from shooting local commercials to working on the set of a small independent film. After pivoting from filmmaking, he worked as a Technical Administrator for Apple where he sharpened his team management skills across 2 states and among 4 different technical teams where he partnered with engineering on early field failure analysis of more than 30 product releases.
