Falisha Lucas

Deputy Director

Falisha Lucas is a Deputy Director at CALSTART in Pasadena, California. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography and Environmental Studies from The University of New Mexico and a Graduate Certificate in GIS and Geospatial Technology from the University of Miami. Since 2010, she has applied this knowledge through a diverse portfolio in transportation, historical preservation, conservation, and the utility industry. Some notable projects include mapping Bark Beetle infestation patterns in the Sandia Mountains of New Mexico, modeling sea level rise, creating the nation’s first park database for the Trust for Public Land, and mapping utility assets for SCE and Sempra.

While at CALSTART she has worked across various teams and produced large-scale infrastructure mapping projects in California and the northeast region of the United States. Falisha has also led the development and management of the EnergIIZE website showcasing the nation’s first incentive project for medium and heavy-duty infrastructure for zero-emission vehicles. She has also led the creation of several online tools, most notably Infrastructure INSITE which guides fleets through the process of procurement and installation of electric or hydrogen infrastructure.

She is committed to the natural environment, equity for underserved communities and reducing GHG emissions throughout the country. She hopes to continue making a positive impact through intuitive, sound decisions rooted in experience and pragmatism.
