Trucks Regulatory Analysis Program Manager

Jonah is the Trucks Regulatory Analysis Program Manager at CALSTART. In this role, he leads research and analysis efforts to support CALSTART’s medium and heavy-duty vehicle policy efforts at both the national and state level. Jonah works closely with CALSTART’s policy team, members, and NGO partners across the country to push for the adoption and implementation of policies that will accelerate the transition to zero-emission trucks.

Before joining CALSTART, Jonah interned on the Federal Policy Initiative at RMI, where he conducted research on U.S. programs and policies created or expanded by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) and Inflation Reduction Act, proposed EPA vehicle emissions rules, and the implementation of Advanced Clean Truck legislation in multiple states. Prior to RMI, Jonah worked as a Research Associate at the political research firm Jones Mandel, a researcher and project manager at the sustainable food systems nonprofit The Lexicon, and as a field organizer for multiple grassroots environmental campaigns through Green Corps.

Jonah holds a Master of Climate and Society from the Columbia Climate School and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies and International Studies from Johns Hopkins University. He lives in New York City, where he enjoys cooking, exploring the city with friends, and taking walks through Central Park.
