Kaila Lemons

EV Project Specialist

Kaila joined CALSTART in 2023 as an EV Project Specialist on the Data Insights & Analytics (DnA) team. She works on the Zeroing in on Zero Emission Buses report, Sustainable Fleets Accreditation Program, and Medium- and Heavy-Duty Toolbox. She aims to use her data and leadership skills to bridge the gap between intention and integrity within the sustainability space.

Kaila is an Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP) and has provided contract services developing sustainability assessments, roadmaps, and standards for agriculture and civil engineering clients. While pursuing her B.Sc. in Environmental Science from Weber State University, she served as the first Zero Waste Coordinator in the Energy & Sustainability Office and was awarded the Ivory Prize for Excellence in Student Leadership and Community Engagement. Additionally, she spent a summer as an Environmental Planner intern at T.Y. Lin International where she assisted with 5 transportation projects across California, drafting deliverables like the Sabercat Trail Extension Project Community Impact Assessment (CIA).
