Lauren Thie joined CALSTART in 2022 as a Lead Project Manager on the Validation & Assessment team. She works on validation and assessment management projects and initiatives, supporting third-party data validation and performance evaluations of clean vehicles, technologies, and fuels.

Prior to joining CALSTART, Lauren served the state of North Carolina as Principal Investigator for a federal climate adaptation grant where she led and secured over $3.8 million in projects to increase health care access and reduce the impacts of extreme heat. Lauren also led data science projects in Mali (CDC Foundation) and Vietnam (USAID). Lauren earned her M.S. in Environmental Sciences and Engineering from the University of North Carolina and her B.S. in Biology from Meredith College
