Sita Holtslag

Europe Director

Sita Holtslag joined CALSTART in 2022 as the Europe Director. She leads Drive to Zero’s activities in Europe, supporting and advancing the Global MOU, which includes many European nations. Her focus will be on commercial vehicle transformation to zero-emission technologies, emphasizing policy advocacy and industry engagement to strengthen regulations, secure zero-emissions commitments, accelerate infrastructure investments, and scale vehicle deployments.

Prior to joining CALSTART, Sita has spent the past 14 years working for the Dutch government in various roles and government ministries, most recently with their Enterprise Agency and Ministry of Infrastructure leading their international freight and logistics efforts. She has been one of the main driving forces behind the Netherlands’ leadership on zero-emission freight vehicles and the close collaboration between CALSTART/Drive to Zero and the Netherlands. Sita Holtslag has a Master’s degree in Conflict and Development from the Australian National University and a Bachelor’s in International Relations from the University of Groningen.
